Avex AISkill modes

Skill modes

Every skill runs in one of three modes, set independently.

ModeWhat happens
OffThe skill doesn’t run at all
AssistThe AI drafts the message and queues it for your approval
AutopilotThe AI sends without asking

Setting a mode

Go to Agent Tasks, find the skill, and choose its mode. Takes effect immediately.

How to roll out

The pattern that works:

Start everything in Assist

Every skill drafts, nothing sends. You see exactly what the AI would say.

Read the drafts for two weeks

Approve the good ones, reject the bad ones. Rejections teach you where your voice settings need adjusting.

Move the safe ones to Autopilot

Once a skill has produced consistently good drafts, switch it to Autopilot. Birthday messages and milestone celebrations are usually first — they’re low-risk and time-sensitive.

Keep judgment calls in Assist

Save offers, PT upsells, and anything involving money or a discount are worth reading first, permanently.

Skill categorySuggested mode
Reporting skills (briefing, forecasting, class intelligence, coach performance)Autopilot — they don’t message anyone
Engagement (birthdays, milestones)Autopilot after a review period
Growth and retention (leads, churn, reactivation)Assist until you trust the voice
Revenue (payment recovery, PT upsell)Assist — these touch money

Notes

  • Reporting skills default to Autopilot because their output is an internal report, not a member message.
  • Money-touching skills default to Assist and are covered by dedicated safeguards.
