What members see in the app

Web Mobile

The member experience is the same on the web portal and the mobile app, with a handful of mobile-only extras.

The home screen

When a member opens the app they land on home, which shows:

  • Today’s workout — the WOD you programmed for today, if you’ve published one
  • Their next booked class — with time and location
  • Their check-in count — total visits, which drives milestone celebrations
  • Any action they owe you — an unsigned document banner, or a prompt to add a payment method

The tabs

TabWhat they do there
HomeToday’s WOD, next class, stats
ScheduleBrowse and book classes
BookingsTheir upcoming and past bookings, and cancellation
WorkoutsToday’s WOD, log results, build personal workouts
LiftsTrack maxes, see PR progress charts
MoreStore, documents, subscription, check-in history, profile, culture, devotional, notification settings

Mobile-only capabilities

  • Face ID / Touch ID unlock
  • Push notifications — class reminders, booking confirmations, waitlist promotions, payment alerts
  • Offline viewing — recently loaded data stays readable without signal
  • Signature capture — signing documents with a finger

What they can do without you

Members are self-service for nearly everything:

  • Book and cancel classes
  • Check in
  • Log workouts and lifts
  • Sign documents
  • Update their card
  • View invoices and payment history
  • Buy from your store
  • Update their profile and photo
  • Control which notifications they receive
  • End their membership, by deleting their account

What they can’t do

  • See other members’ data. Rosters and results are private unless you’ve enabled a leaderboard, which shows names and scores only.
  • Change their plan. Plan changes are a staff action.

Notes

  • A member with no gym — someone who downloaded the app before joining — gets a reduced experience: find a gym, track personal lifts, browse content. When they join your gym, their existing lift history comes with them.
  • Members see your gym’s name, logo, and brand color, not Avex branding.
