Adding a trial

On any plan, set Trial days to the number of free days.

What a trial member gets

Full member access — booking, check-in, workouts, everything. Their status shows as Trial member.

No charge occurs until the trial ends.

What happens at the end

The first payment runs automatically on the card they entered at signup. If it succeeds, they become a regular Member with no interruption.

If it fails, standard failed-payment handling kicks in — they’re notified with a link to update their card, and Payment Recovery reaches out if enabled.

Converting them before the trial ends

If Trial Conversion is switched on, Avex AI reaches out to trial members as their trial approaches its end, timed against how much they’ve actually used the gym and recommending the best-fit plan based on their activity.

You can also convert manually from their member record at any point.

Requiring a card up front

Members entering a trial through your public page enter a card at signup, so the conversion is automatic. If you add a trial member manually without a card, nothing charges at the end — you’ll need to collect payment yourself.

Notes

• Trial length is per-plan, so you can run a 7-day trial on one plan and 14 on another.
• A setup fee on a plan with trial days charges at signup, not at trial end.
