Notification preferences
Web MobileWhat members control
Members opt out of any of the seven push categories individually, from More → Notifications.
This is per-category, not all-or-nothing. Someone who finds daily devotional notifications excessive can turn just that off and keep class reminders.
Why per-category matters
The alternative — one master switch — means a member annoyed by one notification type turns off everything, including the class reminder that would have prevented a no-show.
What they can’t turn off
Transactional messages tied to their account, such as password resets and account-critical email.
Staff notifications
Staff have their own preferences, including new-member alerts. A front-desk phone buzzing for every signup gets muted quickly — let each staff member set their own.
If a member says they’re not getting notifications
Check in order:
- Their preferences — the category may be off
- Device permissions — notifications may be disabled for the app at the OS level
- They’re signed out — no session, no push
- App not installed — push is mobile-only; the web portal doesn’t send it
