Set requirement rules
Web Owner · AdminFour settings determine how a document is enforced.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Requires signature | Distinguishes a signable document from an informational one |
| Required for all members | Everyone must sign — enforced before they can become active |
| Required for specific plans | Only members on those plans must sign |
| Required for check-in | An unsigned member is blocked at the door |
The rule that carries the most weight
Required for all members is enforced at the database level. A person cannot reach active member status without signing every document marked this way.
There is no path — including a staff mistake, a bug in a form, or a manual status change — that produces an active member who hasn’t signed. This is the setting that makes your waiver coverage actually reliable.
Plan-specific documents
Use this for documents that only apply to some members:
- A youth program agreement for the kids’ plan
- A competition team agreement
- An additional release for a specialty class
Combining rules
A typical setup:
| Document | Rules |
|---|---|
| Liability waiver | Required for all members + required for check-in |
| Membership agreement | Required for all members |
| Photo release | Requires signature, not required |
| Youth program agreement | Required for the youth plan |
